Daily Painting Class (2 weeks)
This is a two-week virtual “class.” The class is geared towards helping the student develop a daily studio practice, as well as to encourage a familiarity with oil paints (and a love for them as well.) On Sunday evening preceding the week, students are given five assignments (about an hour each) to complete each morning using oil paints, a palette knife, and primed paper. Assignments are assigned for Monday-Friday, with Saturday as a “catch up” day if needed. Completed assignments must be sent to me each morning before noon via text or email. On Sunday at the end of the first week, there is a 30 minute zoom critique/ conversation. I will give some in-depth and helpful feedback on your work, and then a list of five more assignments for the second week. These will build on what you have already done. A final 30 minute critique/ conversation will be scheduled on the Sunday at the end of the second week.
