Friday March 7th, 10 am - 1 pm

Join me in my studio for a 3-hour in-depth pencil drawing classes. This is a small class (3 students) where we explore the possibilities of pencil drawing. I will be able to give each student a lot of attention, and meet them wherever they are at. I will give instruction on using the materials and improving confidence and drawing skills.

Students will gain a better understanding of line, gesture, contour, value, composition, and more. We will look at beautiful drawings from throughout art history for inspiration and guidance. We will work a variety of ways: from a still-life set up, from photographs, and from copying the drawings and paintings of great artists from the past.

Please bring a sketchbook of good drawing paper, a couple drawing pencils (4B and 6B) and a kneaded eraser. Also it is suggested that you bring a snack. I will provide tea and light refreshments.
