oil on canvas, 12 x 12 inches, comes in a custom cherry floater frame

I made this painting three years ago, after sitting on the front step with my (then) eleven year old son on a cold November morning, waiting for the school bus together (something he no longer wants me to do.) I remember vividly the wild and intense pink clouds, just before the sunrise. Earlier this year, the painting was severely damaged during shipping. It was a rough ordeal on many levels, and I mourned the loss of my painting for a long time. Recently, I was able to finally move on with it. I repaired the puncture and repainted the sky. It is different now: darker. But I believe it still conveys the intended emotion.
