I currently have many beautiful oil paintings by John Schmidtberger on display in my studio-gallery. Schmidtberger is a local artist with a gallery in Frenchtown, New Jersey. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the art community and a kind friend. He paints with a quiet confidence and fierce dedication to his vocation. His paintings are utterly satisfying to view in person. Spend some time with Schmidtberger’s paintings, and you will be rewarded by exuberant, luscious brushstrokes and juicy, rich colors.
I especially love how Schmidtberger succeeds in capturing the essential spirit of the Delaware River and its surroundings. It is clear that he knows, intimately, the particular trees, riverbanks, watery reflections, and verdant cliffs which I know so well: the landscape of my childhood.
I will have an outdoor “socially distant” open studio this Saturday, August 8th, from 5-9 pm. Or you may contact me for a private gallery visit: lauren@laurenkindle.com 267-247-6364.
